From carbon sources to sustainable value.

Cubic-C Lab investigates the carbon value chain end to end — from emission sources and capture technologies to utilization pathways and long-term storage — to advance circular, climate-aligned industrial systems.

Carbon Sources

The Carbon Sources research area focuses on the identification, characterization and assessment of carbon streams originating from both fossil and biogenic resources. It encompasses the study of carbon availability, composition and dynamics across industrial, energy and natural systems, providing the scientific basis for sustainable carbon management and the development of circular carbon value chains.

Carbon Capture

The Carbon Capture research area is dedicated to the development, evaluation and optimization of technologies and strategies for the efficient separation and recovery of carbon dioxide from a wide range of emission sources. Research aims to develop novel technologies and improve capture performance while reducing energy consumption, environmental impacts and implementation costs, supporting the transition towards low-carbon industrial and energy systems.

Carbon Utilization & Storage

The Carbon Utilization and Storage research area focuses on the sustainable management of captured carbon through pathways that enable its conversion into valuable products or its long-term sequestration. Research encompasses the development, evaluation and integration of solutions that promote carbon circularity, reduce net greenhouse gas emissions and support the transition towards climate-neutral and resource-efficient energy and industrial systems.
